Vintage Goebel Bird Figurine from W. Germany of a "Hawfinch"
I am selling a Hummel/Goebel Bird Figurine of a Hawfinch which can be found in England, Ireland and parts of Europe. It was made in 1967 in West Germany. The mark on the bottom is W. Goebel, W. German, CV83, 1967 with the blue V with a Bee inside of the V. The condition is very good for its age and I can not find any cracks, chips or crazing and the coloring is bright with no fading. My understanding is it is also a rare sighting to see this bird in it own habitat. It is also one of the larger bird then most of the Goebel Birds. Great looking bird to collect and display.
