Condition: Excellent with no damage.
Measurements: base: 7” x 5” x 5” tall
Description:  You are bidding on an absolutely gorgeous hand carved and painted bird decoy carving.  The detailing is fantastic with realistic feather carving and intricately carved details.  The duck has small glass eyes.  The carving is perched on a wooden limb connected to a real wood cutout base.  Neither piece is signed, but it was obtained from the estate of John J Rauscher (1924-2008) along with many other similar decoys, so it is most likely done by him.  Mr. Rauscher was born in Wisconsin in 1924, living most of his life in Baltimore.  He passed away there in 2008.  I have obtained several of his pieces and his work is absolutely amazing, check out my other auctions!
