    Description

    These are designed for very accurate absolute positioning (no "Home" sensor) of a shaft in a servo system.  One Synchro Control Transformer could be mounted on your control panel and excited with the 90VAC 60Hz.  A second (connected S1-3 to S1-3) would be mounted to the shaft to be positioned with you motor.  An error amplifier would monitor the R1-2 at the motor.  The output of the amplifier would drive a motor lead with the phase to cause the R1-2 voltage to null.  Using the "Synchro" type system has no limit on number of turns the synchro takes whereas a potentiometer or absolute encoder does.
