Antique round jeweled box, probably part of a large elaborate dresser or desk set, gold-tone metal, featuring faceted multicolored glass jewels with filigree motifs, the base of the box is lined in velvet, probably for jewelry or trinkets, round shape, the hinge is broken, so the lid is detached, measuring 3" high to top of slightly domed lid x 4" in diameter, marked EMPIRE ART GOLD, E. & J.B. in a circular cartouche on the base, see close up photo, with embossed floral scroll work around the sides, footed,  condition, AS IS, the lid is detached at the hinge, and the gold finish has mellowed from age and handling overall, previously owned, from a local estate.

Our physical brick & mortar gallery located in Royal Oak, Michigan, for over 30 years, is closed on Sundays & Mondays. Any payments received for orders on those days will be processed on the following Tuesday afternoon. Our regular brick and mortar store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 6pm.  We pack and ship paid eBay items on Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday afternoons.
