    Description

    Gimbaled dry card compass in
    brass in red painted bowl. With wooden case of oak and sliding cover. The inside of the bowl has a mysterious look.
    On the black rose 32 points and the name of the maker. On the rose, north with fleur de lis, east - direction Jerusalem - with simple mark.
    Made by the brothers Bradford, instrumentmakers in the Minories, London from 1795 till 1822.
